Max temperatures hover below normal, mainly dry weather prevails in Pb, Hry

The maximum temperatures hovered below normal limits in Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday, even as dry weather prevailed in the two states.

Heavy rains in the region between Saturday and Monday had hit normal life and feared to have caused damage to kharif crops at some places in Punjab and Haryana.

A MeT Department official said mainly dry weather prevailed at most places in Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Chandigarh recorded a high of 31.5 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 30.8 degrees Celsius while Bhiwani's maximum temperature settled at 32.1 degrees Celsius.

Hisar's maximum temperature settled at 33.5 degrees Celsius while Karnal recorded a high of 30.2 degrees Celsius.

Narnaul registered a high of 34.5 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 32.3 degrees Celsius.

Ludhiana registered a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius while Patiala's maximum temperature settled at 31.6 degrees Celsius.

The weather is likely to remain dry over the next two days in Punjab and Haryana, according to a forecast by the MeT Department here.
