Maximum temperature hovers close to normal in Punjab, Haryana
Press Trust of India Chandigarh Maximum temperatures today hovered close to normal levels at most places in Punjab and Haryana.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 deg C, one notch above normal, the MeT Department report said here.
Amritsar in Punjab recorded a high of 33.5 deg C while Ludhiana's maximum settled at 34.8 deg C, up one notch against normal. Patiala recorded a high of 34.6 deg C.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 34.3 deg C while Hisar's maximum settled at 36 deg C, one notch above normal. Karnal recorded a high of 33 deg C.
A MeT department official said that weather remained generally dry today across the two states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
