"Politics should not be played in the name of Ambedkar. He (Ambedkar) would have felt bad, the way in which Kanshiram and Mayawati misused his name," Mishra said here last night.
"If Mayawati wanted to fulfil dreams of Ambedkar, why his family members are not with her? We are making the India as dreamt by Subhash Chandra Bose and for this his family members are with us," he said.
His remarks came a day after the BSP supremo took on her political rivals at a meeting to pay homage to B R Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary and cautioned dalits and backwards against BJP's "designs."
"During Narendra Modi's regime, CBI is not being misused," he said.
To a question, Mishra said he was not a "claimant" for the post of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and the matter was not under the party's consideration.
