Mayor meets Army chief, discusses naming of public places after martyrs

South Delhi Mayor Narendra Chawla today called on Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat and sought the names of a few eminent martyrs for christening of roads, parks and community centres, the civic body said.

The mayor told the Army chief about the South Delhi Municipal Corporation's keenness to name its various parks, roads and community centres in the memory of the martyrs, the SDMC said in a statement.
