"The people in these areas also do want to see their native places in films. I had done jatra shows in pockets dotting Keshpur and Garbeta blocks of West Midnapore and know how crazy are the people of these areas about entertainment," Srabonty told PTI.
"In Bindaas by Rajiv (Biswas) the places name come up to impart this realistic touch and connect with the rural audience," the 'Majnu' star said.
"Me and Dev are on-screen pairs in back to back films representing contrasting genres. In a way we are loyal and faithful to our core audiences while exploring the realistic films by venerable directors. He made his mark in 'Chander Pahar' and I worked with Rinadi (Aparna). So our journeys are same in a way," Srabonty said.
About Bindaas, Srabonty said, "Dev is a messiah for poor in the film who cleanses the mafia raj."
