The Himachal Pradesh government today said medical reimbursement bills of freedom fighters amounting to Rs 18.96 lakh were pending clearance due to paucity of funds and lack of budgetary provision.
Budgetary provision would be made to clear the pending medical bills, Health minister Kaul Singh Thakur told the Legislative Assembly.
In Bilaspur district alone, bills amounting to Rs 10.7 lakh were pending, he said.
The minister said the government would manage to pay the money within two to three months.
