Medical officer caught taking Rs 1 lakh bribe

A medical superintendent of government hospital at Tenali in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh was today trapped by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
Dr A Ravindra Kumar was caught red-handed by the ACB officials in his office while he was allegedly accepting the bribe amount of Rs one lakh from a complainant for doing an official favour, an ACB release said here.
The bribe amount was recovered from the table drawer of the accused in his chambers. Process is on to arrest him and further probe is being carried out, the release said.
