Medium sugar drops on stockist selling

Medium sugar prices dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today on stockist selling amid subdued demand from retailers.
Elsewhere, small sugar also declined following lower offtake from millers and bulk consumers.
Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 90/13 per quintal to Rs 2,862/3,132 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 2,952/3,145.
Small sugar (S-30) also eased by Rs 11 per quintal to Rs 2,836/2,990 as against RS 2,836/3,001 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,836/2,990 (Rs 2,836/3,001).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,862/3,132 (Rs 2,952/3,145.
