Elsewhere, small sugar variety declined further owing to lack of buying support.
Medium sugar (M-30) surged by Rs 42 per quintal to finish at Rs 3,092/3,221 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 3,050/3,221.
Small sugar (S-30), however fell by Rs 18 per quintal to settle Rs 2,952/3,042 as compared to Rs 2,970/3,042 previously.
