"Being Chief Minister of a state that has been the worst victim of violence, he should have worked for peace rather than promoting hostility between the two countries," Mehbooba said in a statement here.
She accused the NC-led government of trying to create instability and an atmosphere of fear in the state ahead of the elections.
"Omar Abdullah's war mongering and advocating attack on Pakistan is part of design and the present government can go to any extent to create a disturbed situation," she alleged.
"While the ceasefire violations have caused tremendous difficulties, it is regrettable that the he is calling for a war between the two nuclear powers," Mehbooba said.
Omar had Monday said the Centre should look at other options if Pakistan continues to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control.
The PDP chief also criticised the state government over other issues like unemployment, alleging that there was no transparency in the selections to government jobs.
"The so-called fast track recruitment has not taken off even two years after it was announced," she claimed.
