Based on the complaint of the victim's family members, a case was lodged against the accused, Kalu Lal Gujjar (52), yesterday, SHO of Ghatoli Police Station, Nargis Khanam, said.
The family members alleged that the woman was sitting near a temple on Wednesday when the accused allegedly took her to a deserted building and raped her, the official said.
"The victim is mentally-challenged and is not able to narrate the incident," she said, adding medical examination of the woman was done yesterday.
The accused is absconding and manhunt has been launched to trace him, the SHO said.
