The 16-year-youth has been apprehended by police after a PCR call was made by locals.
The incident took place last night at around 10 PM in Maujpur area of Jafrabad when the youth attacked at least six people with a blade.
"With a blade in his hand, he thumped people and ran away. Most of his victims only realised it later when they saw blood that they have been slashed. Around six persons sustained injuries on their back, neck and shoulder. All the victims were given medical aid at a nearby hospital and were later discharged after treatment," said a police official.
Eyewitnesses told police that they saw a burqa-clad woman running behind the boy. Investigators are trying to verify these claims, police said.
