Mentha oil futures edge higher by 0.14% on upsurge in demand

Mentha oil prices edged up by 0.14 per cent to Rs 1,054 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions after pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March inched up by Rs 1.50, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 1,054 per kg, in a business turnover of 25 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in February traded higher by 90 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 1,045 per kg in 108 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade to building up of fresh positions by traders, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries, mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
