 "Mentha oil up 0.3% on rising demand")
Extending gains for the second day, mentha oil prices were up 0.25% to Rs 731.80 per kg in futures trading today as speculators remained busy in enlarging positions amidst rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September added Rs 1.80, or 0.25%, to Rs 731.80 per kg in business turnover of 126 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August contract traded higher by 60 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 718.10 per kg in 293 lots.
Marketmen said besides rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
