Mentha oil futures gain 0.10 pc on uptick in demand

Mentha oil prices traded higher by 0.10 per cent to Rs 917.30 per kg in futures market today as traders enlarged their positions, taking positive cues from spot market on strong demand from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in November traded higher by 90 paise, or 0.10 per cent to Rs 917.30 per kg in a business turnover of 65 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in December edged up by a similar margin to Rs 927.20 per kg in 24 lots.
Analysts said, apart from a firm trend at spot market on rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted supplies from producing regions mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
