Menthol moves up on increased offtake

Menthol traded higher by Rs 5 per kg at the chemical market in the national capital today due to increased offtake by consuming industries.
However, other chemicals moved in a narrow range on little doing and settled at the previous levels.
Traders said pick up in demand from consuming industries against restricted supplies led to the rise in menthol prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and oil were up by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,060, Rs 1,030 and Rs 950 per kg, respectively.
