Mercury rises, rains likely later in the day

The city woke up to a warm morning today with the minimum temperature being recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
Rain or thundershowers may occur towards evening or night, the weatherman said, adding that the sky would be generally cloudy.
Humidity was 70 per cent at 8.30 AM. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 37 degrees Celsius.
There has been no rainfall over the last 24 hours, an official of the Safdarjung observatory said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 37.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius.
