The sun shone brightly and the day temperature in major cities of Patna and Bhagalpur remained above 28 degree Celsius, the met office said. Gaya and Purnea registered 26.5 and 29 degree Celsius respectively.
Gaya recorded the minimum temperature at 9.7 degree Celsius followed by Purnea at 10.2, Patna at 11.7 and Bhagalpur at 12.6 degrees.
The state's lowest minimum temperature was recorded at seven degree celsius at Sabour in Bhagalpur district.
The met department predicted a sunny day tomorrow on Republic Day with the sky likely to remain clear in the four major cities of Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea.
