The BBSM had asked the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) to respond to its proposal by today.
"The central committee of our party will meet in end of October. We will have to place the proposal of BBSM before them before spelling out our future course of action," MGP president Dipak Dhavalikar said today.
The BBSM has proposed that it will support MGP in the Goa polls due next year, if they tie-up.
To a question on the deadline given by BBSM, he said "no one can give deadline to MGP."
BBSM convener and rebel RSS leader Subhash Velingkar told PTI today that they will go ahead with announcement of their party on October 2, without waiting for MGP's response.
"We can't wait till October end for the response from MGP. If MGP agrees at a later stage, then we (BBSM) as a party can think of having seat-sharing agreement with them. Right now we had a proposal to fully support them," Velingkar said.
The RSS had recently relieved its Goa Vibhag Sangh Chalak Velingkar, who has now formed a parallel outfit called RSS Goa Prant.
Velingkar had earlier announced the BBSM would be floating a political party on October 2. The BBSM has been agitating demanding regional languages as Medium of Instruction in states elementary education.
