Fassbender says he was a little starstruck when he met the fellow Irish star on the sets of "Trespass Against Us," reported Contactmusic.
"He said, 'I finally get to work with you' and I said I've been waiting longer than he's been waiting because I saw him when I was 16 in Ireland, he was doing 'Juno and the Paycock'.
"I was just a fan from then on. Then he played Michael Collins in an Irish TV two-parter broadcast when I was about, again, 15-16. I tape-recorded that for my grandfather. So I'd been following him for ages, and then I saw him in 'The General'. (I'm) just such a huge fan," Fassbender says.
