Militant gunned down in Srinagar encounter

An unidentified militant was today killed in an encounter with security forces in Zakura area on the outskirts of Srinagar, police said.
The encounter took place this evening and the security forces managed to neutralise the militant after a brief gunbattle, police said.
A search operation was in progress as there were reports of two militants there.
