Militants set afire truck in Manipur

Unidentified militants set ablaze a private truck at Yairipok area in Manipur's interior Thoubal district, officials said.
The militants hijacked the truck which was en route to Machi village from Yairipok yesterday evening, they said, adding that the driver was let off.
The truck was found burnt this morning at a place near Yairipok, the officials said.
Family members of the truck owner P Jiban Singh (32) said militant outfit People's Union of Liberation Front had demanded money from them some months back.
Yairipok police station has registered a case in this connection.
