Milkfed's daily average milk procurement in Punjab is 1,464.3 thousand kg, an official spokesman said here today, adding that Milkfed also takes care of animals, especially milch animals.
As many as 48,285 sick animals were treated in Punjab through 561 first aid centres and 1,763 veterinary centres.
The spokesman said Milkfed sold cattle feed, mineral mixture, lick brick and fodder seed to the tune of 5,630 metric tonnes, 15,996 kg, 264 kg and 35 kg, respectively to milk producers.
