Mercury remained in double digit in some parts of Punjab and Haryana.
Amritsar continued to remain the coldest place in Punjab and Haryana, registering a low of 4.2 degree C, up by one degree above normal, whereas Chandigarh registered its low of 10.2 deg C, five notches above normal, as per MeT department report.
Minimum temperatures in Ludhiana and Patiala settled at 8.9 deg C and 10.7 deg C respectively, rising by up to five notches above normal.
In neighbouring Haryana, Ambala and Hisar registered their minimum at 11.8 deg C and 11.1 deg C, going up by upto six notches above normal.
