Minister asks GPs to select housing beneficiaries from poor

District in charge minister M B Patil has asked Gram panchayat officials to select eligible candidates for housing schemes from the "real poor families."
He told a delegation, which met him here yesterday that selection powers had been given to GPs only and they should identify real poor families for availing benefits.
Patil said he had received petitions from villagers relating to housing schemes and he would look into their problems "personally".
