Minister expresses hopes of AIIMS being set up at Vijayawada

Andhra Pradesh's Minister for Health and Family Welfare K Sriniwas expressed expressed hopes today that the union government would establish another All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Vijayawada as promised in the Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Bill 2014.
Reviewing the infrastructure, services and conditions at the government general hospital in the city on Monday, he said that Rs 200 crores would be sanctioned for government hospitals in Krishna district.
A nursing college would be set up at Machilipatnam at a cost of Rs 20 crore, he said.
