Minister for developing satellite towns to ease urban pressure

"The government shall give emphasis to planed development of the urban areas of Himachal. New satellite town ships shall be developed to lower down the pressure on the existing urban areas," Sharma said.

Speaking after visiting the Jawala Mukhi Temple near here, Sharma said the status of different towns and cities shall be upgraded in accordance with the population and importance.

He said that priority shall be given to increase parking facilities in Shimla, Dharamsala and other towns of the state.

Matters relating to house tax irregularities in the state shall be taken in the meeting of higher officials of the department, Sharma said.
