"We have submitted this proposal to Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy and he has positively responded to this suggestion," the Minister said after inaugurating a special session with focus on the issues of NRKs in Gulf countries at the Global NRK Meet here.
The minister also stressed the need to end domination of private players in overseas recruitment sector.
Another two sessions to discuss challenges and issues faced by NRKs in Europe and the US as well as the problems of NRK women were also held as part of the meet.
Appealing for a relaxation in Customs regulations, Thomas Chandy MLA said government should give prominence to the issues of NRKs who are currently working abroad rather than rehabilitation of gulf returnees.
NORKA Minister K C Joseph promised to address the issues raised in the session.
