Minor boy falls into septic tank in outer Delhi, dies

A seven-year-old boy has died after allegedly falling into a septic tank at an under- construction house in outer Delhi's Kanjhawla area, police said today.
The body of Rocky was fished out from the tank after an hour-long operation. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The incident took place around 8.30 PM yesterday when Rocky's mother raised an alarm in the locality about her son having gone missing. He was last seen playing near his house a few hours ago, a police official said.
A search operation was launched and the child's slippers were spotted outside the under-construction house. Police teams and locals went inside and noticed a septic tank with its lid open where Rocky's body was found.

It is suspected that he slipped and fell into the tank while playing inside the premises of the under-construction house. A case of negligence has been registered in connection with the matter, the official said.
