Minor boy gets drowned, another missing

A minor boy got drowned and another went missing in the Kharkhai river under RIT police station in Seraikela-Kharswan district today, police said.
Ganesh Sardar (8), a resident of Harijan Tola in Ichapur under RIT police station, has gone to take bath in the river along with his father when he was washed away in the current of the stream.
On seeing Ganesh drowning, 16-year-old Shyam Mukhi, who was also taking the bath in the river, rushed for his rescue but also got drowned, the sources said.
Divers later fished out Sardar's body, but Mukhi was yet to be traced, the sources said.

Police have sent the body for post-mortem while search is on for Mukhi.
