Minor found with throat slit in Kanpur

Body of an 11-year-old boy with its throat slit was found lying in fields this morning in Ghatampur area of the district, police said.
The body of Shaariq, living in Targaon, was found bearing slit marks on its throat in the fields outside the village by local people, who then informed his father Wali Mohammad, Superintendent of Police, Rural, Surendra Tiwari said.
Mohammad has alleged that his son was killed by Kuldeep, living in the same neighbourhood as theirs, and one of his friends over their displeasure on Shaariq's friendship with a girl from the same village, the SP said.

The body was later sent for post mortem.
Accused Kuldeep has been arrested and efforts were on to nab his associate, Tiwari said, adding that extra police has been deployed to monitor the situation in the village amid ruckus over the killing.
