Minor girl raped, battered to death in Jalaun

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped and battered to death in the district, police said today.
The minor, who had come to attend a wedding here, went missing yesterday and her body was recovered this morning under Orai Kotwali police station area, they said.
According to police, the girl was battered to death with blunt objects and lathis. The state of the body suggests that she had been raped before murder.
The body has been sent to post-mortem examination and the accused will be caught soon, SP N Kolanchi said.
