A minor girl was allegedly raped after being abducted from her house here, police said on Saturday.
The six-year-old girl was sleeping in her house when she was allegedly abducted by an unidentified person and raped her, they said.
The incident took place Friday night under the Jiyanpur Kotwali police station area, police said.
The girl was found lying in an unconscious state on the roadside Saturday morning by the villagers who informed police, they said.
The victim has been admitted to a hosptial and investigation is on, Deputy Inspector General, Azamgarh range, Subhash Chand Dubey said.
