14-year-old Kunal Meena was sitting at the workshop in Hamirgarh area when the blast occurred while illegally filling the gas, they said.
The car owner Sanjay Maliwal and two others were injured in the incident, police said.
A case has been registered against the workshop owner and the matter is under investigation, they added.
