Faheem Ahmad Lone was playing outside his house in Magam village of Handwara area when he was attacked and killed by the wild animal last evening, a police spokesman said.
This is the second such incident in Handwara within a week.
On October 21, a three-year-old boy was killed by a leopard in Kahipora village of Handwara.
In another incident, the spokesman said a bear ventured into village Jurk Mohalla near Hapatnar in Bandipora district and attacked 13-year-old Manzoor Ahmad Gojjar last evening.
