Odisha government on Friday changed portfolios of nine senior IAS officers in a minor reshuffle, official sources said.
Industries secretary Sanjeev Chopra of 1990 batch has been posted as the Home secretary with additional charge of the General Administration and Public Grievance department.
Water Resources department secretary P K Jena has been transferred and posted as the secretary of Rural Development with additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner and Managing Director of Odisha State Disaster Management Authority.
Rural Development secretary Mona Sharma has been posted as the secretary of Forest and Environment department while 1991 batch IAS Sourav Garg given additional charge as CMD, GRIDCO and Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL).
Energy secretary Hemanta Sharma has been appointed as the new secretary of Industries, MSME and CMD, Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha (IPICOL).
Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) B P Sethi has been appointed as the new secretary of Energy department with additional charge as CMD, Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC).
Chithra Arumugam has been appointed as the new secretary of School and Mass Education department while Director of Social Welfare with additional charge of MD Mahila Vikas Samabaya Nigam Aravind Agarwal has been given another additional charge as the additional secretary, General Administration and Public Grievances.
Vishal Gagan, a 1998 batch officer working as the special secretary of Water Resources department, has been given additional charge as commissioner-cum-secretary of WR department.
