"Mir will continue as Chairman of AJKPC," General Secretary, AJKPC Anil Sharma said tonight.
After joining Congress in a function at Delhi yesterday, Mir offered his resignation to Sharma requesting to relieve him from the responsibility.
Appreciating the efforts of Mir in strengthening Panchayati Raj in Jammu and Kashmir, Sharma asked him to continue as the chairman of the organisation.
A final decision in this regard would be taken in the executive body meeting of AJKPC scheduled to be held at Srinagar in the last week of October, Sharma said.
