Armed miscreants looted Rs 1 lakh cash and jewellery worth around Rs 75,000 from a businessman's house in Bihar's Samastipur district, police said on Monday.
Half a dozen armed miscreants entered the house of businessman Santosh Kumar Srivastava in Dalsingh Sarai town of the district late on Sunday night and decamped with cash and jewellery items.
When the businessman tried to resist the loot bid, the miscreants beat him with the butt of a gun leaving him injured, police said adding that Srivastava has been admitted to a private hospital.
Dalsingh Sarai Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Kundan Kumar visited the businessman's house and said the culprits would be arrested soon.
