According to the police, the body of the girl, who was a student of class 12th, was found in a drain.
Following the recovery of the body, angry parents, relatives and locals gathered outside Mayur Vihar police station and protested alleging police inaction in the case.
"It seems to be a case of suicide but we are waiting for the post-mortem examination report in the case. There were no signs of any external injury on the body," said a police official.
Police today received a call about the body of a girl in Mayur Vihar area. Her parents identified the body with the help of a tattoo which was her name, an official said.
