(cover for palm that blesses) weighing about 30 sovereigns, which went missing during the festival at the ancient Sorna Kaleeswarar temple at Kalayar Kovil near here, was found on the floor and handedover to the police.
Police said today that the kavacham of the Goddess Sorna Valli Amman was found missing during the procession held following celestial wedding on September 10.
The consecration ceremony was held on the previous day. The temple priest Kaleeswaran gave a complaint to the police, who registered a case and started investigating into the complaint.
Meanwhile a woman found the Kavacham on the floor of the temple and handedover to the temple police.
