Mixed trend prevails at wholesale commodities market

Prices of thoor dal and moong dal rose while those of sugar and wheat dropped at the wholesale foodgrains market during the week ended today.
All other commodities ruled steady.
Prices of thoor dal and moong dal rose by Rs 100 and Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 9,000 and Rs 9,800 on Monday from its previous rate of Rs 8,900 and Rs 9,500, respectively.
In contrast, sugar and wheat declined to Rs 2,700 and Rs 2,800 with net loss of Rs 100 per quintal each from its previous rate of Rs 2,800 and Rs 2,900, respectively.
Urad dal Rs 9,000, gram dal Rs 4,800, maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000 ruled steady throughout the week.
