Mizoram observes Deworming Day

Over 3.86 lakh preschool and school children between the age of one and 19 years were administered anthelmintics in Mizoram today as the state observed the first National Deworming Day, along with the rest of the country.
An official statement said anthelmintic drug (Albendazole) was administered to students in government and private schools and also in the Anganwadi centres.
Those who could not take Albendazole today would be given on February 15, the statement said.
