Mizoram police have seized 13 gold biscuits reportedly smuggled from Myanmar at Zembawk near Aizawl on Monday night, a police statement said here today.
Police department's public relations officer (PRO) said that the seized gold weighing 13 kg was worth around Rs 4.29 crore on the prevailing rate of gold bullion.
One Lalbiakthuama (24) was arrested in this connection for allegedly concealing the gold biscuits in his jacket.
He was handed over to the officials of the Customs department of Aizawl division.
