Additional secretary for state home department Lalbiakzama told PTI that the detailed movement plan under Road Map - 5 for Bru repatriation process was being finalised for submission to the Ministry of Home Affairs for approval.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had instructed the state government to make efforts for repatriation of around 3,445 Bru families from the six relief camps in North Tripura district despite the complete failure of the last repatriation attempt as not a single Bru came forward to return to Mizoram during July 2 - September 4 last year.
Though some Bru families have returned to the state since 2010, many of them on their own, a large number of them remained in the relief camps while their leaders continued to make several conditions for their return to Mizoram.
