MMRC receives 5 bids for signalling and train control project

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) today said it has received bids from five consortia for a automation and signalling project.
"The five pre-qualification bids for system works for signalling and train control, platform screen doors and telecommunication system were opened following Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) norms," MMRC said in a statement.
Among the bidders were Alstom Consortium, Nippon Signal-STEE Consortium, Ansaldo-AAL-SIC Consortium, Siemens Consortium and Bombardier-ZTE consortium, it said.
MMRC will complete the bid evaluation process within 60 days followed by inviting tenders from short-listed firms.
