While the NDA, pre-poll alliance of the Zoram Nationalist Party (ZNP) and the BJP, which contested 15 seats did not win even a single seat, the ruling Congress and the Mizoram People's Conference (MPC) combine, which contested all the seats won eight seats.
The MNF went alone in the civic polls.

Meanwhile, the poll turnout in the election to the 25-member Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) held yesterday was 85.22 per cent, state election commission officials said.
The officials said that 74 candidates were in the fray for the LADC polls with both the ruling Congress and the MNF contesting all the seats.
Counting of votes for the LADC polls would be conducted at Lawngtlai town tomorrow.
LADC is the largest autonomous district council among the three district councils constituted under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution in Mizoram.
