MNS Dadar corporator Sandip Deshpande wrote a letter to G-North ward in-charge Ramakant Biradar last week in which he made the threat.
"Yes, I have written a letter to the officer concerned and warned to kidnap him if the issue of potholes is not solved. But try to look at the reasons why I was forced to remind the officer in such a way," Deshpande said.
When contacted G-North ward in-charge officer, Biradar said he is attending to the problems of the residents and filling up of potholes is the priority.
"We are taking up pothole filling work as our top priority. Our officers are available in the office as well as in my ward area for over 14 hours a day for service. There are very few potholes in Dadar area," he said.
RTI activist Anil Galgali, who has filed a complaint against tainted road contractors with the Lokayukta, said, "Not just Dadar, roads across the city are full of potholes. It's high time civic officials start taking citizens' problems very seriously.
