A mobile phone tower installed atop a two-storey house caught fire near here today, causing panic-like situation in the area, a police official said.
However, no one was injured in the fire which broke out in Pandaji Tiraha area this afternoon and was brought under control in about an hour, Guna Police Station in-charge Vivek Asthana said.
The tower atop the two-storey building, installed by a private company was engulfed in blaze possibly due to a short-circuit, he said.
Asthana said it will be ascertained whether the house owner and the company concerned had taken requisite permissions for setting up the tower.
