The Emmy Award-winning series set aside traditional cameras in favour of the tech company's newest iPhone 6 and iPad models for an episode titled 'Connection Lost', reported Ace Showbiz.
The story centres on Julie Bowen's character who is attempting to find her daughter following a fight in the airport as they are waiting to board a flight.
Text messages, emails and FaceTime video chats with the rest of the family will be incorporated into the episode.
Modern Family co-creator Steve Levitan said, "Everything was shot on the iPhone 6 or new iPads... With one or two small scenes shot using MACBook Pros."
