Addressing an election rally here this evening, Modi referred to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's speech earlier in the day in Jaipur, where he said that even Vajpayee had advised Modi to abide by Rajdharma after the riots.
Referring to this, Modi said, "Whatever Vajpayeeji said is available on You Tube. Anyone can listen to it. He did not say anything like that."
Vajpayee, in fact, had said that there was a certain "Rajdharma", and "you were following it", Modi claimed.
The state shed its "BIMARU" tag only because of the efforts of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, he added.
"Congress would be swept away by a pro-BJP "storm" in Madhya Pradesh election," he claimed.
Congress leaders live in palaces and have no idea about how the poor live," Modi charged.
Referring to the Planning Commission's controversial definition of poverty, he said, "These days, one cannot get even 300 grams of onions for Rs 26.
